What grease should I use for car suspension bushes?
There are many reasons for greasing bushes, often to eliminate suspension squeaks, but mainly to lubricate and extend their life.
For normal rubber bushes you can use greases from well-known brands such as Wurth special for rubber or WD-40 and many others.
Polyurethane bushes are more resistant and durable than rubber, but silicone grease should always be used, as petroleum-based grease could alter the polyurethane’s characteristics.
Silicone grease also has a number of advantages, such as good lubricating capacity to eliminate wear on seals and eliminate squeaking, it doesn’t stick to residues or dust, and it also protects bushes from drying out, plus you can also use it with rubber.
